Santa Cruz Shakespeare

Love’s Labour’s Lost

By William Shakespeare

Directed by Paul Mullins

The King of Navarre and his three friends swear off pleasures of the flesh and devote themselves to study… until the arrival of the Princess of France and her lovely entourage wreaks hilarious havoc on their vows.

I served as the assistant dramaturg on Santa Cruz Shakespeare's production of Love's Labour's Lost, directed by Paul Mullins. The dramaturgy efforts were lead by Ashley Herum and the company's lead dramaturg, Michael Warren, and I felt so grateful to be able to learn under both of them for a summer. I got to spend each day in the rehearsal room surrounded by intelligent, hard-working, creative, hilarious, and diverse artists from all over the United States and beyond and could not be prouder of the show we put on.
